ESWI to host webinar on the cornerstones of pandemic preparedness and urgent actions

As the world deals with the unrelenting daily spread of the novel coronavirus, the European Scientific Working group on Influenza wants to look further down the road.

Could countries face two epidemics at the same time next fall, flu and the coronavirus? It is possible that a new surge in coronavirus cases could coincide with the next flu season, causing – potentially – an even more difficult crisis than the one the world is facing now?

When flu season comes, there is a possibility that the world will be dealing with two respiratory viruses at the same time – flu and COVID-19. This could be a double challenge for health care systems worldwide.

On 2 July ESWI will be hosting its fourth webinar in a series: Cornerstones of pandemic preparedness and urgent actions. Register here.
