LSHTM to host webinar on prevention and vaccines in the older population

Throughout World Immunisation Week from the 24 April to 1 May the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSTHM) vaccine centre will be hosting a series of webinars on vaccines throughout the life-course. As part of this series they will be holding a webinar onPrevention and vaccines in the elderlyon 30 April, 1.45pm BST. 

This webinar will consider the impact of infectious diseases on the older population, discussing the importance of vaccines as a preventive tool for older people and how we can overcome some of the challenges facing this group  

Additionally, the session will provide insight into the of uptake of the Varicella zoster vaccine as a case study and will share the perspective of a person over the age of 60, bringing his views on the value of such vaccines.
