Scotland beats WHO target of 75% coverage for winter flu vaccination

For the past four years, Scotland has exceeded the WHO’s target of 75% of those eligible receiving the winter flu vaccine.

Scottish Public Health Minister Maureen Watt stated ‘The flu¬†offers the best defence against the most common strains of the virus circulating this year and has an excellent safety record’, before describing Scotland’s winter flu programme in greater detail.
