Hundreds of staff at a health trust are making sure they are protected against flu

During its annual round of flu vaccinations, the occupational health and wellbeing team of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust will visit wards and establish clinics to administer hundreds of flu vaccinations to staff.

Head of occupational health and wellbeing at the trust, Jude Cooper, said: ‘Flu can be serious and even fatal, even for normally fit and well people, so that’s why the campaign is so important to protect ourselves and our patients’.

ILC-UK’s immune response report highlighted the need to focus effort on ensuring that health and social care staff are vaccinated against influenza.
