I am writing to invite you to attend a participative event and futures workshop where we will explore the potential for new technology to help increase the uptake of adult immunisation.  This event will be attended by policymakers, opinion formers, technology experts and those interested in health, ageing and vaccination.

Through the day we will invite experts on immunisation, and experts on technology.

You will have plenty of time to have your say during our workshop. We will even give you a chance to play a game of “Snakes and Ladders” and “Higher and Lower” to help you develop your own scenarios of what the future might look like.

With the support of Sanofi, the International Longevity Centre – UK are undertaking a project to explore how new technology could help increase the uptake of adult vaccination.

Through the project we will seek to:

  • Highlight to policymakers across Europe the importance of adult immunisation
  • Highlight how new technology can help increase uptake of adult immunisation
  • Understand barriers to the introduction of new technology in this area
  • Make policy recommendations to break down the barriers to the use of new technology to support adult immunisation

This Futures Workshop is a key part of this project. We want your help to understand the potential offered by new technology and how policymakers can create an environment in which these technologies can thrive. Whether you’re an innovator, industry body, investor or a policymaker committed to improving health outcomes, we would be delighted to welcome you.

If you have any questions about this project or this participative event, please contact Dave Eaton at

I hope you will be able to join us on Tuesday, 26th June to share your insights into how technology can help protect more adults through immunisation.
